About Katie

Katie is a therapist who works with adults navigating change, loss, and the feeling of being stuck or overwhelmed. Whether you’re facing a transition, managing anxiety or depression, or trying to make sense of something difficult, she offers a steady, thoughtful space to help you gain clarity and move forward.

With over 15 years of experience at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia supporting patients and families navigating life-threatening acute or stigmatized chronic illness, Katie brings a grounded, compassionate presence to people facing some of life’s most difficult moments. Her work has included helping individuals and families cope with grief, uncertainty, trauma, and complex medical experiences.

As a psychosocial supervisor, she also provides guidance and support to healthcare professionals managing high-stress situations, burnout, and the emotional weight of caring for others.

Fees, Payment & Insurance

Fees

I offer a free 15-minute consultation call to help you get a sense of my approach and see if working together feels like a good fit. You’re welcome to ask questions and share a bit about what you’re looking for.

My fee is $150 per 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of service.

Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. This allows our work to remain focused, private, and tailored to your needs without the constraints of insurance requirements.

If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. I’m happy to provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company.

I recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits. Helpful questions include:

  • Do I have out-of-network coverage for psychotherapy?

  • What is my deductible, and has it been met?

  • What percentage of the fee is reimbursed?

  • Is there a limit on the number of sessions per year?

There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature - the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.

You don’t have to navigate things alone. Please reach out and we can talk about how we can work together. I’d be honored to support you as you take the next step toward healing and growth.
